Agentscopic was founded in Switzerland in June 2026 by Richard Blackham.

Richard has worked in identity and access management and enterprise directories since the 1990s. He has led identity governance and privileged access programmes in regulated industries, from vendor selection to design and running the service, including SailPoint and CyberArk deployments for global organisations. He has also founded identity companies before, including a self-service password reset product for Microsoft identity platforms and an Identity Intelligence and Access Governance reporting service.

That experience is the reason for Assay. The teams who run identity are rarely the right people to prove it is under control, and with AI agents arriving, the question "who answers for this one?" now has to be answered every day.
